This month, I’m taking part in The May 50K. I’ll be walking at least 100 km to raise funds for research to prevent, treat, and cure Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

Around 2.9 million people worldwide live with MS. My mom is one of them, so this campaign is very close to my heart.

MS is often called “the disease with 1000 faces” because it affects everyone differently.

It’s a chronic condition where the immune system attacks the brain and spinal cord, affecting how you move, see, or feel.

My mom has been living with MS for more than 30 years, and it’s been an emotional roller coaster. Sudden loss of balance, bladder issues, blurred vision, and various other symptoms that come and go.

It’s painful to see someone you love go through that, not knowing what comes next. Thankfully, treatments have helped stop the progression.

I’m super proud of her for never giving up and pushing through hard periods. Even with balance issues, she keeps moving, walking with support or cycling indoors.

That’s why I’m supporting this campaign. For a better future for people and families living with MS.
